• Class: “Fact or Fiction: Tracing Gatsby’s Past.”

Tuesday, Feb. 5th (H)
• Class does not meet.

Wednesday, Feb. 6th (F)
• Due: Read Chapter Seven in Gatsby.
• Class: Film excerpt and discussion (“Drama at the Plaza”); vocabulary review.

Thursday, Feb. 7th (S)
• Due: Study for vocabulary quiz on Units #4-6; read Chapter Eight in Gatsby.
• Class: Take vocabulary quiz on Units #4-6; work on dramatizing scenes.

Friday, Feb. 8th (U)
• Due: Read Chapter Nine in Gatsby.
• Class: Identifying theme through characters, values, and actions.

Monday, Feb. 11th (M)
• Due: Start work on Gatsby theme paper.
• Class: Socratic seminar style discussion.

Tuesday, Feb. 12th (T)
• Due: Rough draft of Gatsby theme paper (no late days, please!).
• Class: Peer feedback; work on quotation integration and citation.

Wednesday, Feb. 13th (W)
• Due: Final draft of Gatsby theme paper. Bring Gatsby books to turn in today.
• Class: Finish A&E episode of Biography; contemporary connections to Gatsby.

Thursday, Feb. 14th (H)
• Class does not meet.

Friday, Feb. 15th (F)
• Due: Make sure you don’t owe me anything before break!
• Class: Contemporary connections: debt and the American dream.
